Home Right-Step Scout Soldier Pyro Demoman Heavy Engineer Medic Sniper Spy

Right-Step Alternate Universe - Heavy

Character Details

Has two modes: guy who is VERY proud of his enormous homemade gun and will cave in your skull if you ignore it, and guy who has acquired a knife! Very strategic, but only when he doesn't get overexcited.

The deGroot line of weaponsmiths has been menacing the English for generations, and now this one is running around doing what he does best in America instead. Sure, guns are a lot of fun, but sometimes the urge to wave around a well-forged bit of iron is too great. In any case, he's just as effective with them, so lot of harm, no foul. Perhaps his mother would have preferred he get a more respectable job - like throwing swords into lakes - but keeping the swords is more interesting.

Heavy is quite a cheerful lad, and is really an ideal roommate if you're not scared of red-hot metal being moved down the hallways at high speed. He's full of stories about hunting cryptids and why the Tower of London is horizontal (well. That one was his Da's doing), and he's a good conversationalist besides.

Notes

Unfortunately, since RS!Heavy no longer has shields, this means he loses out on a certain degree of the Pirate Element - which is a right shame, because pirates are cool. I decided to lean a little more into the concept of the medieval warrior to make up for the loss. Canon!Demo always strikes me as a guy who's having a lot of fun with his job in a goofing-off sort of way.

Upsetting Team Combos

Providing Scotch Whiskey to a Pyro will result in 5 seconds of AoE 24 DPS, plus whatever crits the Pyro is actually trying to do. So, best case scenario, a Phlog charge that is almost twice as powerful. This is upsetting, but not as upsetting as Yeehawing them at the same time.
